An Officer's carriage clock

Ormolu clock, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gilt and blued hands. Day-running movement with thread suspension, alarm function, single hourly striking, double quarter-hourly striking with four hammers to a gong. Signed to the dial "Ravené BERLIN". Chips to the winding holes, the alarm mechanism in need of repair. The winding and repeater threads lacking. H 22.5 cm.

Samuel Frederic Ravené is recorded in Berlin as of 1794 and there earned the title of court clockmaker to Frederick William III of Prussia.
