Of redensche form, fired in two pieces and screw-mounted. Decorated to both display sides with: 1. The theatre on Gendarmenmarkt and Friedrichwerdesche church 2. Berlin palace seen from the east and the Alte Dom. The separately fired pedestals with etched vermicula decor, inscribed "Ihrem geehrten Freunde und Collegen dem Königlichen geheimen Justiz- und Tribunals-Rathe Dr und Professor Ritter pp Herrn Daniel Christoph Reidenitz am Tage seines Doctor-Jubiläums den 18. Maerz 1838 von den Mitgliedern des Königlichen Tribunals des des Königreichs Preußen." Given as a present to Prof. Dr. Daniel Christoph Reidenitz on occasion of his doctoral anniversary on 18th March 1838. Blue sceptre mark, red imperial orb, painter's marks (to the vases), the base impressed 38 and with mass mark II. Localised wear to the gilding, minor rim chips to the bases and pedestals, one screw slightly loose. H 31, with pedestal 37.5 cm.
