A Berlin KPM porcelain topographical vase with a view of Fürstenstein Palace

Of Redensche form. Decorated with gilt and etched vines and a view of Fürstenstein Palace near Waldburg in Silesia. Blue sceptre mark. Minor wear to the gilding. H 42.5 cm.
Ca. 1820.

Fürstenstein Palace was in possession of the Hochberg family since 1509. The family was raised to the status of imperial counts in 1683. They expanded the castle continuously until the 1920s, eventually making it the largest palace in Silesia. It was confiscated by the Nazis in 1943.
This lot includes a certificate from Conrad Ernst Maximilian Graf von Hochberg (1682 - 1752).
