A pair of rare Berlin KPM porcelain vases with Persian style decor

Of oval form, using Prussian blue and Persian blue ground beneath gilt relief tendrils. Blue sceptre mark with blue subsidiary mark, red imperial orb, various impressed and painter's marks. H 19.8 and 20.6 cm.
Ca. 1850 - 70, the decor possibly later.

Literature

A solitaire with similar decor in cat.: Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin 1763 - 2013, Petersberg 2013, no. 29. This model in the "Japanese taste" was developed in 1855/58, but the gilt relief was first used in 1904. KPM first perfected the relief enamel technique around 1900.
