A 14k gold ring and pendant with granulated decor

The oval pendant and round ring bezel each decorated with fine figurally granulated astrological motifs and set with a turquoise cabochon. Stamped fineness 585, maker's mark "ET" (to pendant). Bezel: Diameter 2.3 cm. Ring size 53. Pendant 4.3 x 3.8 cm. Chain: variable L 37/53 cm. Total weight 28.4 g.
Elisabeth Treskow, 1930s.

Elisabeth Treskow frequently incorporated figural granulation into her early works from the 1930s. Around 1933 she was commissioned by Dr. Hans Luther, the mayor of Cologne, to create the important bracelet with zodiac motifs that was awarded the gold medal at the Paris World Fair in 1937. She made numerous works with similar motifs in the wake of this.
