A WMF galvanized silver plated brass dish

WMF mark for 1910 - 30 (cf. Bröhan IV, p. 546). L 32; W 11 cm.

The architect and designer Fritz August Breuhaus de Groot was taught by Peter Behrens at the Düsseldorf School of Applied Arts. He led the "Contempora" school of applied arts in Berlin from 1932 - 1938. His designs, including numerous vessels, candlesticks, and cutlery sets for WMF in Geislingen, can today be found in international museums and collections.
