A carved limewood figure of St. John (?), presumably Swabian, circa 1500
The reverse flattened and hollowed out. Minimal remains of former polychromy. A standing figure of the youthful saint, depicted facing sideways and with his right hand outstretched. He wears a girded gown and a cloak held drawn around his body. The figure can be interpreted as a depiction of St. John the apostle from a crucifixion group.
Some of the fingertips lost. Thin, vertical cracks. The side with the outstretched hand reattached. Height 54 cm.
