Alessandro Vittoria, studio of

A bronze figure of Juno from the workshop of Alessandro Vittoria

Cast in the round, chased, and with old patina. The goddess is depicted standing in contrapposto on a round plinth, nude save for a cloak and accompanied by a peacock. A further cast is housed in the Museo d´Arte Medievale e Moderna in Padua (inv. no. 111).
Minor wear to the patina, minimal wear throughout. Mounted on an associated granite base. Height 33 cm (without base).
