A 17th century Flemish carved alabaster relief of the Temptation of Christ

This finely worked high-relief depicts Christ sitting in a cave-like rock formation on the right whilst the devil lays the world at his feet. Christ is depicted once again surrounded by angels in the upper right, and Lucifer's fall can be seen in the sky to the upper left.
One of the devil's horns lacking. Wear with minor losses. 15 x 12 x 3.3 cm.
