A Flemish ivory figure of the Virgin and Child, second half 17th century

Carved in the round. A finely carved, standing figure of the Virgin, turned slightly to the side and holding the nude, writhing Christ child before Her in both hands.
The reverse slightly yellowed. Mounted on a wooden plinth. Height 11.5 cm (without plinth).
