Bronze Height 39.3 cm Monogrammed and dated 'E.d.F. 30' on the leftside of the plinth. Exemplar of an unknown number of casts. - Blunt, partially lightened, bronze-coloured patina.

A sculpture commissioned by a cloth merchant from Leipzig. The cloth is inscribed "PE KA TUCHE" scratched on the recto with the image of a sailing boat (cf. the information in: Beatrice Vierneisel, Ernesto de Fiori, Das plastische Werk 1911-1936, exhib. cat. Georg-Kolbe-Museum Berlin 1992, p. 209, no. 69 with illus. p. 47).
