A large Meissen porcelain dish with a parrot and a Bolognese dog

A rare octagonal dish with a shaped rim. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's number 26. Restored. H 10, W 33 cm
Ca. 1740.

The Dresden Porcelain Collection houses parts of a tea and coffee service with identical decor. It was not known that a dinner service with this decor was produced until the publication of the Ole Olsen Collection catalogue in 1927. The Danish collection included 50 pieces from the service, including this bowl.
