A carved wooden figure of a seated Putto

Carved in the round, the underside slightly flattened. Presumably original polychromy. A figure of a nude Putto dressed only in a cloth standing in a lively pose facing left. The piece can be linked stylistically to the works of Ferdinand Dietz, one of the most important sculptors of South Germany in the transition period of late Baroque to Rococo.
Craquelure to the polychromy, minimal wear. Height 70 cm.
