A Kyoto Raku dish in Kôrin style. Edo period

A dish in Kôrin style on a high foot and with rounded corners, painted on a light green ground with tachibana after a design by Ogata Kôrin, at the base two large characters reading Kenzan. Kyoto. Edo period. Wooden box with three paper labels including the names Kenzan and Kôrin, a padded cloth, and a second lacquered wooden box.
Height 5 cm; 20.6 x 21 cm

Inscribed to the inside of the lid of the wooden box: Shohô Kenzan/ Kôrin tachibana mon ga tsuke (with a picture of tachibana after Kôrin) / seal / shihô daihachi (Square footed bowl) / tsuchinoto-u (1819) fuzuki (7th month) to the right an inscription in red felt pen: Bunsei ni nen seireki 1819) / Kumamoto ni te motomu (by order) Hon Kakizawa ...mitsu (kô) and kaô. Five seal including o0ne reading Kakizawa bunko
