A large ovoid vase by Kuwahara Odake. Around 2000

A large ovoid vase by Kuwahara Odake with impressed stylised flowers spiraling in gray-glazed areas. Mark at the base reading Mi (=Misao). Around 2000. Tomobako inscribed to the lid Inkamon henko (Pot with impressed flowers), signed and sealed Odake and a second seal reading Horikire-yaki.
Height 44.5 cm; diameter 37 cm

Kuwahara Misao, also called Odake lives in Fukuyama in Hiroshima prefecture where he is kiln master of Onji-yaki and Horikire-yaki.
