A Berlin KPM porcelain plate from the dinner service made for Schloss Charlottenburg

Model no. 301. decorated with an overturned basket of flowers before a rose arbour. The pierced border picked out in gilt and interspersed with flowers in puce. Blue sceptre mark, impressed no. 10. D 24.4 cm.
Berlin, KPM, subsequent order dating to the reign of Frederick William III, ca. 1810 - 1820.

In: Lenz, vol. 1, Reprint Berlin 1991, pl. 73. Cf. also the archival tables on p. 15, which describe the original royal order from 18th January 1770: "dinner service in neuglatt design, for 30 people, for Charlottenburg (...) painted to the centre with a basket of flowers, to the border with blue garlands. Gilt decor and edging" (from the German). The royal family used this service for a long time, subsequent orders were placed throughout the entire 19th century.
