A pair of Berlin KPM porcelain cooling vessels made for Berlin Palace

The handles formed as foliage and shells. With wildflower bouquets, scattered flowers and insect decor and gilt foliate borders. Blue sceptre mark. The insets restored. H 22.5; diameter 18 cm.
Ca. 1775.

In 1772, Frederick II ordered a dinner service with "naturalistic flowers and insects and a gilt foliate border" for Berlin Palace, which was sent on 23rd March 1773.
