A George III 14k gold silhouette ring

Octagonal capsule bezel inset with a gouache on ivory silhouetted portrait miniature signed "Mieris". The back of the capsule with a hairwork inset and commemorative inscription: "ELIZ TH BARFORD OBT 21. OCTOBER 1795". Bezel 2.4 x 1.6 cm. Ring size 57. Weight 2.8 g.
