Frau Dr. S. Gramlich, Berlin, schlug in einem Brief vom 7.1.1991 an den Vorbesitzer entweder Wilhelm Gail oder Max Hauschild als Maler dieses Bildes vor. Möglich wäre auch, dass der Künstler aus dem Kreis um Carl Blechen stammt.
