A Sorgenthal biscuit porcelain bust of Empress Maria Theresa

Depicting Maria Theresa as a widow wearing a relief miniature of her husband Emperor Francis I. On a moulded column-shaped plinth inscribed M. THERESIA. Engraved to the reverse ELIAS HÜTTER ALT 72 Jahr F. Stamped bindenschild mark 854 (857 to the socle). A discoloured and slightly brittle filling between the chest and the plinth. H 39.5 cm.
