Probably Maasland circa 1200
A cast bronze Corpus Christi, presumably Maasland, circa 1200
Cast, engraved, and chased, with old patina. A finely cast crucifix figure depicting Christ with His head leant slightly to one side, His arms extended parallel, crucified with four nails. His facial features, hair, rib cage, and perizonium are detailed and finely worked.
Surface wear. Mounted on a modern rock crystal cross. Height 10.2 cm, width of arms 9.7 cm.
