A late 14th century French carved ivory diptych with the Annunciation and the Crucifixion

With remains of presumably original partial polychromy and gilding. High-relief panels with plain borders. The panel on the left depicts the annunciation to Mary with the angel Gabriel and the dove of the Holy Spirit and on the right the Crucifixion with the Virgin and John the Baptist, both scenes beneath Gothic arch borders.
The scene of the annunciation with a vertical hairline crack, minor losses to the edges, with old defective hinges. Each panel 7.7 x 4.7 cm.
