This work is probably identical with the piece of the same subject exhibited in the Berlin Academy Exhibition of 1818 entitled "In Watercolours" (see: H. Börsch-Supan, Die Kataloge der Berliner Akademie-Ausstellungen 1780-1850, vol. 1, 1818, no. 114). In an original hand-inscribed frame.
Proceeds from the sale of this work will go to benefit the Cardinal Meisner Foundation, Cologne.
