A Miyao bronze figure of a samurai standing astride with a flaming torch and holding up a bowl with his left hand, the various mons on the garments inlaid in gold. Signed Miyao zô in a rectangular reserve. Mounted on a wooden stand with karakusa and hôô bird in maki-e. Late 19th century.
