An elegant bamboo seal of a kirin. Dated 1881

Standing on a high cylindrical base, the kirin turns its head backward, its long beard touching the back. At the base a four-character seal. The bamboo stem with a typical vertical notch, inscribed Meiji jûyonnen (1881) and with five other characters. Signed Tenzan and a further kanji.
