A rare coral figure of a shishi. 19th century

Sitting on its haunches, a large ball with long ribbons between its paws. The eye pupils inlaid black. With a stopper of turquoise and coral, and a spoon of tortoise shell.
Height 3.9 cm

Most probably a Japanese netsuke later fitted with a spoon and stopper and thus turned into a snuff bottle for better saleability.
