Meissen porcelain monkey bowls from the "Reineke Fuchs" centrepiece

Model no. H 214. Comprising four bowls, two with monkeys perching on the angles and foliate appliques. Designed to be grouped around a central tall covered vase with a cockatoo finial. Blue crossed swords mark with and without dot and one cancellation. Stamped crossed swords mark with fox, incised model no. "H 214" and with various impressed marks and painter's mark in iron red. Minor restorations and chips. H 30 cm.
Formed from 1924, modelled by Max Esser, 1922.
