A silver-mounted ivory tankard

The base and domed lid with chased régence decor. The ivory corpus carved with a cavalry battle with 17th century costumes. The thumbrest formed as a leaf and the finial as a large engraved crest. H 28.5 cm.
Augsburg assay mark and maker's mark in the style of Paul Solanier (both not in Seling). Presumably South German, late 19th C. / circa 1900.
