An enamelled 18k gold Louis XVI snuff box
Of oval section decorated to all sides with orange enamel over moire ground. The edges mounted with finely chased ornamental borders à deux couleurs with white enamel. The sides divided with pilasters with chased palms on white enamel ground. To the lid a finely painted enamel plaque with Venus and Cupid. Two collection labels to the interior. French prestige marks. The front face with a small cold enamel repair in the upper edge. 3.7 x 8.5 x 6 cm. Weight 202.9 g.
