Oil on fiberboard 40.5 x 51 cm Framed under glass. Signed 'GROSZ' in blue lower right and stamped "Grosz Nachlass" to the reverse, therein the hand-written inscription "1 A6 4". - Some wear to the outer corners due to framing.

This nude depicts Grosz's wife Eva (neé Peter, 1895 - 1960). They met in Emil Orlik's painting class at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Berlin. The couple married in 1920 and emigrated to New York in 1933, where this work was presumably painted.
