Paint Study for Great American Nude #82 is a study for the series of large format plexiglass works of the same name (Great American Nude #82) which were executed in five different colour variations in 1966. Wesselmann used gripflex colour for the study, as he also did with his versions on plexiglass. Originally, this colour was produced for use on plastic advertising signs.
