A Berlin KPM porcelain cup with a portrait of Prince George of Hanover
Unidentified semi-spherical model with original saucer. Finely painted with a bust of the royal child in an etched gold frame. The sides and back of the cup decorated with a wreath of Continental flowers, the saucer with snowdrops surrounding a medallion inscribed "George born 27 May 1819". Blue sceptre mark with iron-red dash, brown F.

Prince George Frederick Alexander Charles Ernest Augustus of Hanover (1819 - 1878) became King George V of Hanover and 2nd Duke of Cumberland following the death of his father in 1851.
