A Vienna porcelain cup and saucer with a view of Baden near Vienna

So-called "caféschale" form with snake's head handles and original saucer. The display side with a finely painted panorama labelled "Vue de la source et du bain de M. Thérèse à Baden, près de Vienne." The reverse of the cup and the saucer with gilt tendrils. Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 825, dreher's number 87.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Matthias Niedermayer, fired 1825, decorated soon after.
