A Vienna porcelain cup and saucer with children playing

With underglaze cobalt blue (Leithnerblau) decor. Of cylindrical form with angular handles and original saucer. The display side painted with a genre scene of six children in a garden, the back of the cup and the saucer with a repeating pattern of foliage in angular niches. Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 802, dreher's numbers 54 and 9.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Konrad von Sorgenthal, fired 1802, decorated soon after.
