A Vienna porcelain plate with Jupiter and Juno

With underglaze cobalt blue (Leithnerblau) decor. Painted with a depiction of the mythological couple seated on a rock surrounded by clouds reserved on gold ground. Bordered by concentric bands of detailed ornament. Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 800, dreher's number 5 and a clover leaf. D 24.4 cm.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Konrad von Sorgenthal, fired 1805.
