A rare Vienna porcelain cup and saucer with circus motifs

Of cylindrical form with angular handle and original saucer. Painted with a group of acrobats on black ground, including a man riding backwards on a galloping horse, a clown in white, a man doing a handstand and a rider dismounting from a galloping horse. The saucer painted with a charming scene of a rider and a clown. Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 811, dreher's number 15 for Georg Schwindel.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Matthias Niedermayer, fired 1811, decorated soon after.
