A Vienna porcelain allegorical cup and saucer with an elephant
Of cylindrical form with angular handle and original saucer. Decorated with an elephant on a landscape base, inscribed to the upper right "la Magnamité". The saucer with a lady killing a dragon inscribed "l´Activité vertueux". Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 801, dreher's number 39.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Konrad von Sorgenthal, fired 1801, decorated soon after.
