A Vienna porcelain cup and saucer with a portrait of a young lady

Of cylindrical form with angular handle and original saucer. Decorated with a half-length portrait of a lady in a pink chemise with a white collar on a stippled sepia ground. The back of the cup with arabesques. Blue "bindenschild" mark, purple A 17, year stamp 808, dreher's numbers 47 and 56.
Vienna, Imperial manufactory under Matthias Niedermayer, fired 1808, decorated soon after.
