A Vienna porcelain cup and saucer with birdcage decor

Of cylindrical form with scroll handle and original saucer. Decorated with Continental birds, foliage and a cloudy sky behind gilt trelliswork. Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 818 and 816, dreher's numbers 36 and 27. A rim chip to the underside of the saucer.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Matthias Niedermayer, fired 1816 and 1818, decorated soon after.
