A Vienna porcelain tazza with micromosaic decor

A shallow footed bowl with fluted lower section and flared rim painted to imitate porphyry. Decorated to the centre with a park landscape in micromosaic technique. The border painted with putti en grisaille in oval reserves on gold ground interspersed with imitation gemstones and etched standards, trophies, and grotesques. Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamp 817, dreher's number 36 for Anton Landskron. H 4.4, D 17.6 cm.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Matthias Niedermayer, fired 1817, decorated soon after.
