A Berlin KPM porcelain cup with Queen Louise

"Glockenform" model with snake's head handle and original saucer. Decorated with a portrait of the Prussian Queen in relief in an oval surround with vermicelli ground. The frame inscribed "Sie lebt auf immer in den Herzen treuer Patrioten!" and entwined by a wreath of field clover. An identical wreath borders the saucer, which is inscribed to the well with the Queen's date of birth and death "10. Maerz 1776. / 10. Julii 1810." Blue sceptre mark with pale blue dashes above and below, red m.

An almost identical cup in: Ponert, Berlin Museum/Keramik, Berlin 1985, no. 215.
This bust of Louise in: Forschler-Tarrasch, Leonhard Posch, Berlin 2002, no. 81 ff. The medallion with the Queen wearing pearls and a tiara may have been made as a memorial medal for the Königsberger 1811.
