A Meissen porcelain model of ice skaters as an allegory of winter

A rare two-figure group on a rocaille base. The gentleman wearing a fur lined purple justaucorps kneels to pull a skate over the shoe of the lady leaning on his shoulder and wearing a pale yellow jacket. Blue crossed swords mark, impressed 40. The tip of the skate missing, parts of the ribbons chipped. H with ormolu base 15.9 cm.
