A rare Sèvres porcelain "Bourges" plate from the Départements service

"Assiette plate" model. The well with a finely painted view inscribed "CHÂTEAU DE JACQUES-COEUR A BOURGES", in the Département Cher. The border with six medallions representing various trades amid floral swags and cameo portraits of Jacques Coeur ("Négociant", 1395 - 1456), François Pinsson ("Avocat", 1612 - 1691) and Louis Bourdaloue ("Orateur chrétien", 1632 - 1704), alternating with three inscribed medallions. The reverse with a description of the "Personnages célèbres", and the garland motif. Signed in the lower centre of the well: "A. Poupart 1827". Blue stamped double-L monogram mark, green painter's mark "19 mai 26 G.", gold conjoined AB mark, brown R, incised 26 - 3 and monogrammed. D 23.5 cm.
