A rare Sèvres porcelain "Vaucluse" plate from the Départements service

"Assiette plate" model. The well with a finely painted view inscribed "LA FONTAINE DE VAUCLUSE", in the Département Vaucluse. The border with six medallions representing various trades amid floral swags and cameo portraits of Laure (de Sade, 1310 - 1348), Esprit Fléchier ("Théologien", 1632 - 1710) and Charles de Folard ("Guerrier", 1669 - 1752) alternating with three inscribed medallions. The reverse with a description of the "Personnages célèbres", and the garland motif. Painter's mark "29. av. 24 G." in green, golf mark "Vd 13 7bre 24", incised 23-II and monogrammed.
1826 - 27,
