A rare Meissen porcelain figure of King David

Large figure of the crowned King playing a lyre on a moulded plinth. Blue crossed swords mark with pronounced pommels and cancellations, incised model no. H 112, impressed 101 and 163. Restored, the lyre with later wire strings. H 44.5 cm.
Circa 1870, the model presumably by Ernst August Leuteritz.
