Ernst Ludwig Kirchner - Liegender junger Mann
Ernst Ludwig Kirchner
Liegender junger Mann
Pencil drawing on firm paper. Truncated printed graphic work verso 25/24.1 x 33.3 cm Framed under glass. On the verso, lower left, with the Basel estate stamp (Lugt 1570b), inscribed "B Dre/Bh 29" by hand. - A few superficial paper defects in the margins. The upper margin irregularly cut.
This charming pencil drawing of an elegantly dressed young man lying with self-confident casualness in a meadow in front of a copse of trees was presumably created during Kirchner's visit to the Moritzburg lakes north of Dresden.
This work is documented in the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archiv Wichtrach/Bern.
