A pair of Satsuma display objects, useable as candle sticks. Kyoto. Late 19th century

Of hexagonal shape with a body on a moulded shaft with a splayed foot on a stepped base, the lid in shape of a roof, now missing, the object in shape of a stone lantern. Finely painted in enamels and gold with figure and landscape scenes as well as brocade patterns. Signed Yamamoto. (2)
