An extremely fine and unusual Yabu Meizan bowl. Around 1900

In the shape of an open scroll with a ribbon, the inside painted in enamels and gold with scenes corresponding to seasonal customs and festivities: chrysanthemum viewing, Buddha's birthday, the doll festival, flying kites at New Year's and manzai dancer, tanabata festival, New Year's at an Inari Shrine, carrying a mikoshi, preparing mochi, obon, and the boy's festival. Signed to the base Yabu Meizan in gold.
