With rounded corners and irregular rim. Hidasuki spots. Mark of Fujiwara Yû. Tomobako, the lid with an inscription reading Bizen shikaku sara, signed Yû and sealed.
Height 4.3 cm; 19.5 x 30 cm

Fujiwara Yû (1932-2001) was a student of his father Fujiwara Kei. He lived and worked in Honami, Okayama prefecture. He was designated Living National Treasure in 1996.
