A Meissen porcelain Augustus Rex vase with yellow ground

Baluster form vase with cylindrical neck and later domed lid. Decorated with finely painted chinoiserie scenes after Hoeroldt in two gilt and purple surrounds. Blue AR monogram, incised /, former's mark with four dots, probably that of Johann Elias Grund sen. The neck restored. H 22 cm, H with lid 29.5 cm.
Decorated by the studio of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt, ca. 1725 - 30.
